Nutrition and wellbeing consults

Hello and welcome. My name is Bronwyn and I am a degree qualified clinical nutritionist, holistic health practitioner +++.

I offer consults via ZOOM (or alternative arrangement) for Australian based clients and in person consults in the Blue Mountains, just outside of Sydney.

Let’s talk about you.

Are you low in energy? Do you regularly feel tired? Would you like to find natural solutions?

Are you having problems sleeping? Or staying asleep? Do you wake up at odd times?

Would you like to feel better? Would you like to be a better version of your current self?

Have you been making poor food choices of late? Do you want to make informed choices about your diet and lifestyle?

Are you finding it tricky to balance your schedule and make healthier food choices?

Do you have a niggling health issue you’d like to investigate?

Are you keen to learn about long term, natural health solutions (instead of relying on quick fixes or fad diets)?

Are you experiencing menopausal symptoms? Do you want to investigate? Do you want to find natural solutions to reduce your symptoms?

If you answered ‘yes’, know that you are not alone. Many people are confused by the information overload we now have access to, via the media and online sources.

Here’s how I help

I will listen to you so that you feel seen and heard. I will encourage you to tell me about your dietary preferences, food values, and health goals.

I will provide holistic health recommendations to help you find ways to improve and sustain good health.

My aim is to inform and educate you, so that you feel empowered to make long term healthier choices.

I will provide evidenced based solutions based on current research and tried and tested, traditional medicine options.

I take a food first approach to your health, because I know and trust that many niggling health issues can be eliminated or reduced first by adjusting a person’s diet. My own life experiences have demonstrated this to me.

I may recommend medical tests and/or pathology if I believe they can identify potential health issues.

I may recommend food swaps, lifestyle adjustments, and (if relevant to your case) research backed Australian nutritional supplements or health products.

After each consultation you will receive a detailed, personalised treatment plan. It is recommended that you implement the plan for two weeks, then have a follow up visit.

We will work together to find solutions that work for you. I don’t use a one size fits all approach, because what works for one person does not necessarily work for another.

I don’t recommend fad diets or expensive products just because they’re in vogue.

I don’t give menu plans because sometimes people get overly rigid in their thinking. In worst case scenarios - this may trigger an eating disorder.

I will partner with you, your doctor, and other professional health practitioners to support your health goals.

My ideal clients are…

Committed to their health and willing to implement recommendations to see what works and doesn’t work for them. They don’t do fad diets because they’ve tried them in the past and while they’ve worked temporarily, they haven’t been sustainable.

My ideal clients know that preventative health is more important than a cure. That’s why they prefer to be informed and educated about their health. They know that with education comes empowerment. My ideal clients are ready for change and keen to implement solutions.

My clients typically are….

Working professionals, juggling a busy work and life schedule. They have had niggling health issues for a while but thought ‘it was nothing’.

Many of my clients are females in the 40+ age range. They may be experiencing perimenopause (the stage before menopause) or menopause symptoms. But I’ve also worked with a lot of men over 50 years too.

Often my clients have gut issues, bowel irregularities, high stress levels, low grade anxiety, sleep issues, low energy (particularly the 3pm slump), and/or are concerned about their weight.

I love when my clients have a ‘oh…that makes sense’ moment.

Now let’s talk about me.

For 20+ years I have worked in high stress, business communications roles. This way of ‘being’ triggered irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), low grade anxiety, low energy, poor sleep habits, and not so great diet choices.

In 2019, I chose to study a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine. I completed it in 2023 and am now a registered Clinical Nutritionist.

I chose nutrition because I believe food and diet adjustments can be powerful. As Hippocrates said ‘let food be thy medicine’. I have seen big shifts in health, through small adjustments.

Are you ready to feel better? Are you ready to make informed choices?  If yes, choose from one of the following options.

What to expect

During a comprehensive, nutritional consult I will partner with you to create a safe, confidential space where you can tell me anything related to your health, diet, and lifestyle.

I will ask a lot of questions (particularly when we first start working together) because I want you to get the best outcomes from your personalised treatment plan.

For example, you will be asked about your:

  • current and past health issues because there may be a pattern to reoccurring issues or something that may need testing to investigate
  • family health history so that we can identify links and (where possible) take a preventative health approach to reduce your risk of developing the same disorders
  • diet and lifestyle so that I can see what may be triggering your symptoms and recommend holistic options (diet, lifestyle) to improve your health
  • bowel movements so that I get an idea of how your body is processing food and also identify if referrals for functional testing are required
  • height and weight so that we have a baseline to measure changes that may result from your treatment plan
  • recent blood tests and/or pathology results (taken in the last three months) so that I can assess what has been investigated, what may need to be investigated, and (as required) make food and lifestyle recommendations to boost your nutritional intake

PS. If you feel uncomfortable at any stage, we can either ditch that question or I’ll find another way to ask.

What’s not included?

Costs for testing, products, supplements, and detailed meal plans. These will incur additional fees.
